FAQ
Inclusive Provider Directory & HER+ Health Collective Integration
We know you may have questions about what this transition means for you. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we anticipate.
Why are the Inclusive Provider Directory (IPD) and HER+ Health Collective (HHC) integrating?
Both IPD and HHC share a mission of connecting families with inclusive, equity-centered providers. By combining forces, we can expand visibility, create more opportunities for connection and collaboration, and sustain this work on a national level while keeping strong local roots.
What will happen to my current membership fee?
Current IPD members will be grandfathered in at your current rate. The annual fee for new IPD members will be $150/year.
What membership options will exist after the integration?
There will be two directory options available, and you may choose one or both depending on your location and goals:
Inclusive Provider Directory (IPD – National)
Annual Fee: $150/year
Eligibility: Open to providers across the U.S. who complete the inclusivity questionnaire and receive HER team approval.
Benefits:
Listing in the national Inclusive Provider Directory on the HER+ Health Collective site.
Quarterly virtual networking events.
Quarterly professional development workshops (topics may include business growth, inclusive marketing, trauma-informed care, with at least one DEI-focused session annually).
Occasional co-marketing opportunities and optional media features (blogs, panels, podcast).
HER+ Expert Directory (Local + National)
Annual Fee: $299/year.
Eligibility: For providers local to the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area (and future HER Circle cities as they launch). Must serve mothers or families with a holistic health approach, complete the inclusivity questionnaire, and receive HER team approval.
Benefits:
Dual listing in both the national IPD and the local HER Expert Directory.
All IPD benefits plus enhanced exposure within the local HER Circle community.
Invitations to exclusive in-person networking events, retreats, and collaboration opportunities.
Full access to HER’s existing expert benefits and resources. See here.
How it works on the website:
The IPD appears as the primary searchable national directory.
A clearly marked filter allows users to view localized “HER+ Expert Directory” listings.
Provider profiles indicate whether someone is part of IPD, HER+ Experts, or both:
All experts are listed as National HER+ Inclusive Providers.
Those who live near a HER+ Circle hub and would like the added benefit of local community and in-person events may apply to be a HER+ Expert.
Will I need to redo my provider profile?
No — we plan to migrate existing profiles into the HER+ Health Collective website. Minor updates may be requested to align with the new platform, but you will not have to start over.
How will inclusivity and vetting be handled?
All members will complete a values-alignment questionnaire to ensure consistency and accountability. This will guide approval and renewal decisions. Providers not aligned with inclusivity and equity-centered practices will be respectfully declined. Ongoing inclusivity trainings will also be offered.
What new benefits should I expect?
Quarterly networking events (national virtual).
Quarterly professional development workshops (business growth, inclusive marketing, trauma-informed care, DEI, etc.).
Expanded referrals through HER+ mom community networks.
Optional media features such as blogs, panels, and podcast appearances.
Advisory board to ensure the needs of providers are represented (Erin Spahr will continue in an advisory role).
What if I want to cancel my membership?
You are always free to cancel your membership. If you decide not to continue, your listing will simply be removed from the directory at the end of your paid term.
What will the merged directory look like?
The HER+ Health Collective website will become the central hub.
The Inclusive Provider Directory will appear as a searchable national directory.
A filter will allow users to view localized HER Expert Directory listings.
Provider profiles will clearly indicate whether someone is a national IPD member, a local HER Expert, or both.
What is HER+ Health Collective?
HER+ is a community dedicated to supporting those who identify with the experience of motherhood, including women and gender-expansive individuals. It emphasizes inclusivity, collaboration, and equity while connecting families to trusted providers and resources.
How will conflict or accountability issues be handled?
HER+ has conflict resolution protocols in place, including licensed therapist mediation if needed. Systems will continue to evolve to ensure safety, accountability, and inclusivity as the community grows.
What are the next steps?
Migration of the IPD site into HER+ Health Collective’s website.
Invitations to the first round of quarterly networking and professional development events.
We are so grateful for your presence in this community. Your input and support will help shape this next chapter and ensure it reflects the values we all care about deeply.
